Dr. Disha Kriplani Mittal is a board-certified physician in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine with more than a decade of experience caring for medically complex and critically ill patients.
As Chief Medical Officer of VerityMD Neurology Clinic, Dr. Mittal helps lead the practice's commitment to thoughtful, patient-centered care, clinical quality, and a consistent experience for patients and families.
Dr. Mittal completed her fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital and subsequently practiced for nearly a decade as a Pediatric Intensivist at Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento. Her career has included the care of patients with complex neurological and systemic illnesses, quality-improvement initiatives, development of neurocritical care programs, and the education of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Dr. Disha Mittal is now expanding her clinical practice into outpatient neurological care as part of the VerityMD Neurology Care Team, working closely and collaboratively with board-certified neurologist Dr. Manoj Mittal.
Under Dr. Manoj Mittal's clinical leadership and mentorship, she has developed a focused practice in areas including:
- Memory loss and dementia care
- Chronic migraine and headache
- General neurology follow-up
- Medication management
- Longitudinal care for patients with established neurological diagnoses
Patients seen by Dr. Disha Mittal remain part of the broader VerityMD neurology care model. When appropriate, cases can be reviewed collaboratively with Dr. Manoj Mittal and other members of the clinical team.
This team-based approach allows patients to receive timely care while maintaining access to the experience, supervision, and clinical guidance of VerityMD's neurology team.
Her Approach to Patient Care
Dr. Mittal believes that excellent care begins with listening.
She takes time to understand the patient's concerns, explain the treatment plan clearly, and help patients and families understand what comes next. Her background in critical care has shaped a careful, comprehensive approach to patients with complex medical histories and multiple health conditions.
Her goal is for every patient to feel heard, supported, and confident in their plan of care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mittal enjoys dancing, hiking, running, cooking, and reading. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Sindhi.

Patients are responsible for arriving at the clinic listed in their appointment confirmation. Patients who arrive at the incorrect location will not be able to be seen for that appointment and will need to be rescheduled.
Neurology consultations and follow-up visits are available at both locations. All procedures are performed at our Folsom clinic.
